Non-invasive Therapy using Lamina Propria Extract for Vocal Fold Healing
PROJECT SUMMARY To address the public health issue of voice disorders affecting approximately 20 million Americans annually due to vocal fold (VF) scarring and laryngotracheal injuries, this project focuses on a non-invasive, innovative treatment strategy. Utilizing a specially derived Vocal Fold Lamina Propria extract (VFLPx), which has demonstrated promising results in reducing fibrotic gene expression, the proposed project aims to fine-tune the dosage and application methods of VFLPx.
