Fast and Accurate Cardiovascular MRI with Hyper 4D-Flow
PROJECT SUMMARY Congenital heart disease (CHD) affects about 40,000 births per year (1%) in the United States. Estimates indicate that over 1 million children and 1.4 million adults with CHD are living in the United States. This project specifically aims to develop and clinically evaluate a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) method to assess car- diovascular hemodynamics in pediatric CHD patients, when imaging is most needed. Individuals born with CHD require a lifetime of clinical care, especially during surgical planning and repair.
