PROJECT SUMMARY/ABSTRACT Inflammation is a biological response in many diseases and organ systems, including Graft-versus-Host Disease (GvHD) and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Toward alleviating the detrimental impact of acute or chronic inflammation, there has been rapid development of cell therapies such as mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). While these have shown significant success in animal murine models for IBD and GvHD, dose efficacy and mechanism of action remain open questions for research.
