Mechanisms of migraine chronification and reversal
PROJECT SUMMARY/ABSTRACT Chronic migraine is highly debilitating, poorly understood, and with limited treatment options. Although the activation of many pro-inflammatory immune cells has been shown to contribute to migraine pathophysiology, the involvement of CD3+ T lymphocytes, especially the immunosuppressive regulatory T (Treg) cells, in migraine chronification and reversal remains unknown.
