Computational Antitrust: Making Technology-Driven Antitrust Accurate, Fair and Sustainable
Computational antitrust is what happens when antitrust intersects with computational tools (computer-based problem-solving methods, including AI and data analytics). These tools have significantly transformed antitrust in recent years, with an overwhelming majority of antitrust agencies now using them to tackle fast-moving markets—whether for detecting infringements, analyzing practices, or monitoring remedies. But while computational antitrust improves enforcement effectiveness, it raises pressing legal challenges.
