Unveiling the mysteries of stellar dynamics: a pioneering journey in magnetoasteroseismology
While stellar evolution has been considered one of the most well-understood astrophysical processes for decades, a massive revolution is in motion thanks to probes of dynamical processes in stellar interiors with asteroseismology. Through this study of stellar oscillations, core rotation-rate measurements point out a very efficient extraction of angular momentum in the depths of stars. It represents one of the most fundamental, yet poorly understood, processes throughout stellar evolutionary journeys.
