Rejuvenation and Anti-Aging Mechanisms for Vitalizing Next-Generation Electric Vehicle Batteries
The REVIVE project aims to revolutionize battery longevity in electric vehicles (EVs) by directly addressing and reversing aging mechanisms in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). While LIBs are critical for EVs, they suffer from degradation issues like lithium plating and solid-electrolyte interface growth, which reduce battery capacity, increase safety risks, and drive up lifecycle costs due to replacements.
