Accurate and Scalable Processing of Big Data in Earth Observation
During the last decade, more and more satellites with optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar sensors onboard have been launched, and the developments of satellite technology has increased the variety, amount, and spatial/spectral resolution of Earth Observation (EO) data. Accordingly, huge amount of remote sensing (RS) images have been acquired, leading to massive EO data archives from which mining and retrieving useful information are challenging.
