Sustainable Algorithmic Modeling of Personalized Garments
Clothing is a fundamental and indispensable part of human existence, and dressing people has tremendous societal, economical, and environmental impact. The clothing industry today is one of the most polluting and wasteful industries in terms of natural and human resources: 50% of all manufactured garments are imminently destined for landfill or incineration. The majority of clothes are manufactured by human labor in the developing world, often in excruciating conditions due to immense pressure to produce cheaply and quickly for "fast fashion".
